After losing Mom late in 2007, no job prospects and encouragement from her husband, Sally Kazanis started to research being a pet sitter. She soon realized there was a part of the industry not being serviced; horses.
In the meantime Sally visited an old friend; Lisa, who manages and breeds Lusitano horses.
It has been awhile since Sally last saw Lisa and heard through the grapevine that she was doing something fun. On a cold rainy day in March of 2008 Sally visited Lisa and her breeding farm.
Soon after their visit Lisa called and asked Sally if she could watch her ever-growing herd of horses plus her dogs and large birds. With nothing else on her agenda Sally agreed.
Sally has cared for people’s animals before but only as a friend. She never considered it to be a profession. Soon after and with encouragement all around she started Mustang Sally Horse and Pet Sitting. Sally finally returned to her first love – animals!
